Ooredoo is one of the main sponsors of the ‘Tunisian Day’ celebrations, which will be held at the Katara Cultural City until Saturday 12 December 2015. The weeklong celebrations have been designed to celebrate the arrival of the Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid in Qatar, as well as promote the diverse Tunisian culture in Qatar and the achievements of modern Tunisia.
Along with cultural activates such as traditional clothing, Tunisian products for sale, national music and dance, the celebrations aim to boost Tunisian-Qatar relations. Several senior Ooredoo executives attended the opening of the event including Chief Operating Officer, Yousuf Al Kubaisi. Yousuf Al Kubaisi said: "Sponsoring Tunisian Day is a perfect way to get involved with such a wonderful community-spirited event. Not only do we get to meet lots of our customers and let them know about our money saving deals on Ooredoo’s Supernet, but we’ll also will learn about the rich culture and history of the country."
Sponsorship of the Tunisian Days Celebration is part of a wider relationship with the with Tunisian Embassy in Qatar, and as part of the agreement Ooredoo will provide a special booth with a host of services available including the easiest and the cheapest way to make international calls. Ooredoo's support for the Tunisian Day celebrations is in line with its pioneering Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy, which aims to provide sponsorship for a range of grassroots activities for the whole community.
