Qatar’s leading telecommunications operator has announced it has added an amazing 35 new networks to the Ooredoo Passport map across selected countries, for customers travelling overseas during the holiday season.
Shahry 250 and all Qatarna customers can use their roaming allowances, and other customers can subscribe to Ooredoo Passport, to roam in more countries than ever before including Argentina, Peru and Chile. New partner networks have also been added in popular travel destinations such as the UK, USA and the Philippines, so customers have more options to choose the best option for themselves and stay connected for less while they travel. These 35 new networks will initially be offered for a three-month period covering the holiday season.
An Ooredoo Passport can be activated before travelling to enjoy roaming worry-free while away. But even if customers forget, Ooredoo will still protect them from high roaming bills; if a customer’s bill reaches QR100 while they are travelling overseas in an Ooredoo Passport Network country, an Ooredoo Passport will automatically be activated. And, if all the allowances included with the Passport are used up, another Ooredoo Passport will be activated to ensure continued bill protection.
Speaking of the network expansion, Manar Khalifa Al-Muraikhi – Director PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo– said: “We know many of our customers tend to travel during holiday periods, and we also know the often high cost of roaming on overseas networks is a major concern for these customers while travelling. We’re delighted to broaden our Ooredoo Passport map with the addition of so many new networks and countries, so we can continue helping our customers avoid high bills when they simply want to stay connected to family and friends while they’re away.”
A list of new networks and countries is available on the Ooredoo website, www.ooredoo.qa, and an Ooredoo Passport can be obtained online, via the Ooredoo App, at any Ooredoo shop and at Duty Free at Hamad International Airport.
