Ooredoo announced it is sponsoring the 2019 Red Rhino Cup, a community event organised by the Indonesian Football Association in Qatar (IFQ).
The event, held today Friday 22 November at Al Arabi Sports Club, consists of a football tournament for junior clubs from the IFQ, as well as a series of Indonesian cultural activities for all the family. The IFQ - a non-profit organisation dedicated to facilitating access to Indonesian football for all fans in Qatar - hosts the event as part of the run-up to the 2022 football event in Doha. Alongside the football tournament, which includes matches for U6 to U16 age groups, visitors will enjoy Indonesian cuisine, traditional Indonesian dancing, a bazaar, games, a photo competition, digital activities and more.
Speaking of the event, Manar Khalifa Al-Muraikhi – Director PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo– said: “We are delighted to sponsor this wonderful community event, after the success of the 2018 edition. Supporting events that unite our communities and allow them to share in each other’s cultures is a priority for us as part of our corporate social responsibility strategy, as is promoting sport and a healthy, active lifestyle. We’re sure everyone who attended had a fantastic time, and we hope the young football stars enjoyed their games!”
