Ooredoo has announced it is to be Platinum Sponsor for the 2019 Gulf English School Career Fair, set to be held on 28 March 2019 from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm at the school’s campus in Al Gharrafa.
The fair – being held for the 13th consecutive year – aims to bring together Qatar’s leading educators from both public and private institutions, providing them the opportunity to showcase their career advancement opportunities and draw students’ attention to the further education courses they offer.
The event will also be attended by local, regional and multinational companies looking to attract the cream of Qatar’s talent to their organisations. Gulf English School (GES) has highlighted its student body – comprising 74% Qatari nationals – as a draw for companies aiming to increase their employment of Qatari nationals, in line with Qatar’s Vision 2030, and has stressed the prime opportunity the event provides for them to present their industry and career choices to an audience eager to explore their future paths.
Ooredoo will be hosting a booth at the event, and will be sending a team to represent the telecommunications leader, meet with students and provide an insight into the many career opportunities at Ooredoo. GES has also extended invitations to students from Year 9 upwards from other Qatar schools, in order for them to meet with the educational establishments and companies and understand what both have to offer.
Speaking of the event, Manar Khalifa Al Muraikhi, Director PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo, said: “We are fully committed to supporting the communities in which we operate, and promoting the importance of education for all. This event is the ideal opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment, and we are sure it will be an invaluable opportunity for all attending. We are very much looking forward to meeting the students and sharing with them the incredible career opportunities here at Ooredoo, with a view to attracting new talent to work with us and help shape our future.”
