With preparations almost complete, Aspire Zone Foundation, in partnership with Katara and Ooredoo, is ready to welcome thousands of visitors to the highly-anticipated ‘Aspire Lake Festival’, a three-day event taking place, for the first time in Qatar, from Thursday evening until Saturday, at 7:30 pm. Visiting performers arrived in Doha a few days ago and were spotted doing their final rehearsal on Wednesday.
AZF has allocated a large seating area to accommodate more than 1400 spectators who expressed their interest in attending the festival on social media, making it one of the top cultural attractions in Doha this weekend. To ensure guests are catered for, Aspire Zone has also installed 12 food trucks in the area close to the event. There will also be a fully-equipped media centre for correspondents interested to attend and cover the activities. The music and lights show organised for the festival will feature a number of visual performances using specially designed decorations and light effects set to beautiful music scores. Performers will be presenting these shows on Gondolas along the lake.
Commenting on the festival, Mr. Nasser Abdullah Al-Hajri, Director of PR and Communications at AZF, said: “The festival has been carefully developed in partnership with Katara and Ooredoo to highlight novel cultural and artistic elements inspired by the Italian culture. It will be presented for the first time in Qatar at Aspire Lake transforming the scenery into a colourful piece of art that I believe everyone will enjoy.” AZF is committed to boosting the tourism and leisure sectors in Qatar by introducing new activities to attract and excite visitors. Due to this innovative approach, Aspire Park has become one of the most popular destinations for both recreational and sporting events.
