Ooredoo has announced today they will continue the sponsorship of two top Qatari motorcycle riders Mashel Al Naimi and Fahid Al Sowaidi for the fourth consecutive year.
The sponsorship, which will see the two champions supported throughout the 2016 sporting calendar by Ooredoo, will see the pair participate once again in the Qatar International Superbike Championship (QSBK) which began in September 2015 and will continue in 2016. The event, which is organised by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) will compose of seven events and the points obtained in each race will count towards the Qatar SuperBike Championship title. As part of the sponsorship, the competitors will receive Ooredoo branded bikes, helmets and jumpsuits.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director Cummins and PR Ooredoo Qatar, said: “We want to develop the next-generation of Qatari motorcycle talent, and these athletes are great role models for Qatar’s children. We’re working hard to develop our team to reach and compete internationally and couldn’t have made it this far without Ooredoo.” Ooredoo currently sponsor a host of sporting and athletic events in Qatar, including activities for Qatar National Sports Day and the company’s annual Marathon.
