Ooredoo has announced it is distributing gifts to people performing the Hajj pilgrimage to the Holy City of Mecca in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this Eid Al-Adha for the sixth year in a row. Ooredoo has distributed the free packs to a number of Hajj trip organisers across Qatar, and it includes ihrams, a special item of white clothing worn for performing Hajj, along with towels and a personal care tool set.
This year Ooredoo will be providing an Ooredoo Passport as part of the gift pack, to ensure that people can contact home during their journey. The Ooredoo Passport includes 100 roaming minutes and 2 GB of roaming data, and is available on all networks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including STC, Mobily and Zain. Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director Community & Public Relations, Ooredoo, said: “Ooredoo is a proud to help aid pilgrims on their spiritual journey and is pleased to provide this small token of support. We wish all our customers Eid Mubarak and hope the pilgrims have a safe and rewarding trip.”
The Hajj campaign joins a long list of corporate social responsibility programmesOoredoo has implemented in Qatar, including the free Medical Camp for low-income workers and the annual sponsorship a wide variety of Qatar National Day activities. The company has a host of celebrations planned for the Eidal-Adha holiday including the cheeky Alrabaa mascots who will be at the Gondola Theme Park in Villagio distributing free tickets for the games and meals for children.
