Ooredoo announced it has just signed a partnership with Al Khalij Commercial Bank )al khaliji),  to enable its customers to pay for Ooredoo services from their al khaliji Bank accounts via online banking.

The partnership, which was cemented at a signing ceremony on 20 November 2019, means Ooredoo customers may soon pay their Shahry, Fibre and Home Broadband bills via online banking, as well as recharging their prepaid accounts.

Online banking with al khaliji Bank is available 24/7, meaning customers can log on and pay bills or recharge anytime, from wherever they are. This way, they can avoid queues and make payments at a time of their choosing rather than being restricted to branch opening hours. Yousuf Abdulla Al Kubaisi, Chief Operating Officer, Ooredoo Qatar, said: “Time is of the essence for all of us; we’re busy, and we have to take care of everyday tasks including paying bills and recharging phones. Enabling online banking payments with our new partner al khaliji Bank creates yet another way to make our customers’ lives easier, contributing to complete customer satisfaction, and is also another step on our journey to complete digitalisation.”

Hamad Al-Kubaisi, Group Chief HR and Administration Officer at al khaliji, said: “Digital banking is high on the agenda of al khaliji Bank as we evolve it to respond to the needs of our customers many of whom are today looking for more improved self-service alternatives. Our digital banking options give customers total control of paying bills anywhere, anytime.”
