Ooredoo hosts event showcasing data centre and cloud services for business customers

Ooredoo, the region’s leading enabler of digital business innovation, held an event for business customers to explore its Data Centre and Cloud Services and the solutions offered by its many international partners. The event – held at Sheraton Hotel’s Majlis Conference Hall– brought together a number of Ooredoo’s esteemed partners to showcase the many business solutions Ooredoo offers with them.

Attendees were welcomed to the event then an industry expert from IDC, the leading research company, took to the stage to offer a market overview and industry insights into current trends, customer challenges and service providers’ strategy. Following this introductory session, Ooredoo presented its Data Centre and Cloud capabilities. Mr. Israel Esteban Marti, Executive Director of Technology at beIN MEDIA GROUP and Mr. Liaqat Mirza Ali, Head of Infrastructure in Muntajat also joined Ooredoo on stage. Both strategic customers already benefit from Ooredoo’s Data Centre and Cloud services and presented how Ooredoo Business supports their organisations through the implementation of sophisticated solutions.

Ooredoo also utilised the event to introduce two key new services – “Azure Stack” a hybrid cloud application modernisation platform from Ooredoo Qatar Data Centre in partnership with Microsoft and Ooredoo Cloud Backup – before Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Bin Nasser Al Thani, Chief Business Officer Ooredoo Qatar, closed the morning’s proceedings with a keynote speech and business customers moved onto exploring the many booths at the event. Ooredoo partners Microsoft, Dell Technologies, Atos, Oracle, Dimension Data, Smart Management IT Solutions, and Red Hat hosted booths, showcasing business solutions provided to customers in partnership with Ooredoo and via the Qatar Data Centre.

Ooredoo’s Data Centre and Cloud Services portfolio covers the needs of all business customers from small to large, across any industry and vertical including governmental. Although utilising international technology and innovations and supported by an ecosystem of global partners offering best-in-class solutions, all services are offered locally for complete data security and sovereignty.
