Ooredoo announced it is acting as Official Sponsor for a play being presented by the Centre for Empowerment and Welfare of The Elderly, under the umbrella of Qatar Foundation for Social Work.
The play, entitled Tales of My Grandfather, is being presented at Qatar Mall to celebrate International Day of Older Persons on 10 and 11 October 2019. It will be open for the public for free. Tales of My Grandfather is intended to honour our senior citizens and share with the younger generations the contribution of their elders to our society. Manar Khalifa Al-Muraikhi – Director PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo– said of the sponsorship: “Supporting events that benefit our communities is of paramount importance to us, as is encouraging community cohesion. We’re delighted to be sponsoring such a worthwhile event and we look forward to sharing International Day of Older Persons with everyone from the newest members of our society to our respected elders.”
