Ooredoo Myanmar handed over relief aid to 41,000 people in Mon State, Myanmar, which was devastated by heavy rains and floods.

Besides, the company is also providing free unlimited on-net calls and SMS to landslide-hit-people in Ye Township, Mon State, until August 18 to help them get connected with their relatives and friends across the country. About 7,800 households have benefited from Ooredoo’s relief aid packets which comprised 2 kg of rice, 4 tins of canned fish, 1 litre of cooking oil and 10 packs of instant noodles. Many people in Mon Sate have been displaced due to floods and landslides caused by rains last week.

U Tint Naing Htut, head of Corporate Communications at Ooredoo Myanmar, said, “Ooredoo Myanmar always cares for the people of Myanmar and we are ready to support the communities we operate in. We are reaching out to the flooded areas of lower Myanmar to help the people in need.”
