Companies in Qatar have responded positively to the enhanced range of Hala Business Plans, with new statistics from Ooredoo showing a 500 percent growth in the customer base for the service in 2016 – the strongest growth to date.
One of the most popular services seeing the highest growth levels was Hala Business International, a new service that enables companies to better manage costs when employees are on international duty. Hala Business and Hala Business International plans offer a basic bundle of key services, including call minutes and data. When these monthly allowances are used up, employees have the freedom to top-up directly, or subscribe to additional services – with no additional costs for the employer.

In addition to better cost control and product choice, Hala enables companies to easily sign-up for the Mobile Money Payroll service, which lets them make electronic salary payments to their employees. This “hybrid ownership” model has fully-supported company’s plans to move more salary and one-off payments to electronic channels, in-line with Qatar’s Wage Protection System.
