Ooredoo has today launched a new Supermarket Hala Change Service, offering customers the chance to choose local Ooredoo minutes as change from their weekly shop – and solving one of the biggest frustrations of the Qatar shopping experience. Typically in many stores, shop assistants offer sweets and chewing gum when they run short of change, which has proven to be irritating for many customers.
Now, Ooredoo has worked out a way to ensure that customers can get full value from their change with a service they can use. Rather than gum, customers will have an option of getting a Hala Mini Bonus Recharge card worth QR 0.50 each when the cashier has no change to give. The QR 0.50 top-up card will enable customers to redeem five local Ooredoo minutes that will work for calls to Ooredoo landlines and mobiles for 24 hours once activated. The Hala Mini Bonus Recharge card is available at popular supermarkets and shops across Qatar from today in lieu of loose change, and the service has been designed to give Ooredoo customers value for money and convenience.
Once received, customers need to scratch-off the panel on the back of the card to reveal a PIN number, and dial *127*PIN# to activate the allowance. Customers can check their allowance through *129*3#. This is the latest service from Ooredoo designed to make life more rewarding when using the Ooredoo Supernet.
