Transfer money internationally via Ooredoo Mobile Money and get up to 6GB free data

Ooredoo has today announced it will provide new and existing Hala and Shahry customers of its award-winning Mobile Money service free bonus data when they transfer cash internationally.

The promotion, which runs until 28 November 2016, rewards customers for using Ooredoo Mobile Money to transfer cash internationally with free data bundles, the size of the bundle increases depending on the amount of cash transferred by the customer.

Customers who transfer money internationally via their Ooredoo Mobile Money account will now be able to use the bonus Internet data to take advantage of the speed and performance of the Ooredoo Supernet for free. Ooredoo Mobile Money customers who make an international transfer with a value of between QR 101 and QR 500 will now receive 100 MB of data, QR 501 -QR 1,000 will get 750 MB of data, while customers who transfer QR 1,001 -QR 2,000 can enjoy 2GB of data valid for five days.

At the top level, customers who transfer QR 2,001- 4,000 will get 4GB of free data, while customers who send QR 4,001 or more internationally can enjoy 6GB of data valid for five days. Customers can register for Mobile Money for free with a valid Qatar ID at any Ooredoo Shop, by dialling *140# or by simply downloading the free “Ooredoo Money” App on their mobile and following the simple on-screen instructions. 

Once registered, customers can take advantage of the data offer by depositing money for free into their mobile wallet using any of Ooredoo’s Self-Service Machines available throughout Qatar, and then transfer money to their friends and families in 200 countries using MoneyGram for a competitive fee, as well as one of the best exchange rates in Qatar. Money is normally received within 10 minutes of transfer.
